Job summary

Qualifications

• Education level must meet federal, state and local guidelines.
• Certification as mandated by the Professional Standards Commission.
• GACE Ethics Assessment and GACE Paraprofessional Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Uses instructional strategies and techniques as prescribed to support learning.
• Provide support to selected students in resource, self-contained and/or regular classroom settings.
• Assist and adhere to plans or accommodations required by IEP, behavior plan or healthcare plan.
• Perform duties to meet the needs of specific student populations (e.g., supervision, assistive tasks).
• Assist students/teachers in using hardware, software, and other technology.
• Provide ongoing feedback regarding student performance to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct small group or individual activities based on lesson plans.
• Assist with student assessment, grading, and data collection.
• Assist with routine recordkeeping and preparation of instructional materials.
