Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks an Associate Educator (Classroom Support) for Sullivan PK-8 for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves assisting students in classrooms, supporting teachers, and helping with after-school and special education programs and events.

Under supervision, you will help reinforce classroom learning, monitor student progress, and communicate with families while maintaining confidentiality of student information.

Responsibilities

• Assists students with educational programs and special assignments; supports teachers with classroom activities.
• Facilitates educational functions and services to maintain a safe, productive learning environment.
• Reinforces learning, provides individual instruction, and supports socialization and communication.
• Monitors student activities and records data for academic and behavioral assessments.
• Maintains student progress files and submits required written reports daily.
• Communicates with parents, students and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provides general office and administrative support for the program.
• Represents the district in a courteous, cooperative manner and supports district goals.
