Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking an Associate Educator (Behavior Resource) for South High for the 2026-2027 school year. Under supervision, you will assist students, support teachers, and help with after-school and special programs at South High.

You will monitor student behavior, reinforce learning objectives, and help with data collection for academic and behavioral assessments. The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• 60 sem credits in education, child development, behavioral sciences, or related field.
• Passing score of 460+ on ParaPro Assessment and high school diploma/GED.
• Two years of professional experience working with children or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in educational programs and assignments as directed.
• Support teachers to maintain a safe, productive learning environment.
• Provide individual or small-group instruction and behavior support.
• Maintain student progress records and report concerns to supervisor.
• Communicate with parents and guardians while protecting confidentiality.
