Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking an entry-level paraprofessional to support certified teachers with classroom activities in a school setting. You will help prepare materials, monitor student behavior, and assist with daily routines including personal hygiene activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, fingerprint clearance, and the ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification. This non-exempt position aligns with pay grade C and offers on-site work in Arizona.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent sufficient to perform essential duties.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• Valid DPS AZ FPCC (Fingerprint Clearance Card) required.
• 60 hours of secondary education or successful completion of Paraprofessional test.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher by helping with classroom instruction and working with children during instructional activities.
• Monitors children's behavior inside and outside of the classroom.
• Assists with clean-up and related tasks following daily activities.
• Prepares classroom for activities, organizes assignments and homework folders.
• Attends meetings and in-service training sessions.
• Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents, and makes copies.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
