Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Teacher Assistant I to support certified staff in achieving instructional goals across core subjects. The role focuses on reinforcing learning through individual and small-group instruction, under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, assisting with assessments, and supporting students with diverse needs to promote inclusive education and success in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate required.
• Texas educational aid certificate required or pending eligibility.
• Experience working with children preferred; bilingual ability appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist professional staff in administration and correction of activities and assessments.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and reinforce instructional strategies per student needs.
• Support students with special needs to promote inclusion and IEP objectives.
• Participate in IEP process as needed and support parent involvement.
• Assist with supervision in non-instructional areas and safety compliance.
