Job summary

LUBBOCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Educational Aide (General) to support classroom teachers and assist in achieving student goals. The role is nonexempt and involves student supervision, instructional activities, and clerical support within Elementary/Secondary Education.

The aide will help with group and one-on-one activities, manage instructional materials, and assist with listening stations, centers, and classroom supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional certificate per TEA requirements.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work with others.
• Computer/typing skills and willingness to learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervises small group student activities
• Conducts one-on-one instructional activities
• Performs instructional clerical tasks for the teacher
• Distributes and collects instructional materials
• Assists in classroom management and supervision
• Sets up/listens stations and centers
