Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide for Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy in Kearneysville, WV. The role supports the Teacher and assists with student activities, behavior, and classroom operations to promote a safe, engaging learning environment.

The incumbent will help with lessons, plan activities with guidance from teachers, participate in school events, and perform light clerical duties while upholding ACCEL's mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional's Exam is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office is required.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check is required.
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
• Ability to lift 25–40 lbs and handle physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups as directed.
• Assist in planning classroom activities and supporting student/parent relations.
• Contribute to school activities and events (parent nights, assemblies, etc.).
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assist the Teacher with classroom technology and maintain classroom cleanliness.
• Uphold the school's philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned (field trips, morning/dismissal duty, lunch duty).
