Job summary

ACCEL Schools' Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy in Kearneysville, WV seeks an Instructional Aide to support teachers, promote positive student behavior, and help maintain a safe, engaging classroom climate for PK-8 students.

Key duties include assisting with lessons, preparing activities, chaperoning events, performing clerical tasks, and supporting classroom technology while upholding the school's mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or the Paraprofessional Exam completed.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic classroom technology.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with lessons and supports individual students or groups.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports parent relations.
• Participates in school activities and performs clerical duties.
• Assists with the use of classroom technology and maintains classroom cleanliness.
• Acts in accordance with school philosophy and mission; supports field trips and duties as assigned.
• Contributes to a positive climate by cooperating with teachers and administrators.
