Job summary

Rockwood Summit High School seeks a Classroom Assistant (Library) for a part-time term position in Fenton, Missouri. The role supports the teacher in delivering instruction, creating learning materials, and supervising students for lunch and classroom activities.

Starting ASAP, schedule is 30 hours per week, 6 hours daily, with work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Certification: teaching certificate preferred; substitute certification required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited college/university or Missouri substitute certificate.
• Friendly, helpful attitude in working with students and staff.
• Positive, caring manner with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with duties to enhance student learning.
• Develop learning packets and instructional aids as needed.
• Set up demonstrations and copy instructional materials.
• Support in routine activities such as drills, grading, and reinforcing lessons.
• Help supervise students during lunch and recess as assigned.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans.
