Qualifications

• If assigned to a Title I school, meet No Child Left Behind Act requirements: two years of study, or an Associate’s or higher degree, or recognized by a rigorous assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing materials and equipment for direct instructional activity.
• Support small group activities planned by the teacher.
• Follow curriculum changes to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment.
• Assist in supervising students and maintaining records as directed.
• Proctor tests and help with assessments while keeping confidentiality.
