Job summary

The Teays Valley Local School District is seeking an Educational Aide at East Middle School to assist teachers with lesson plans and to support students with academic and behavioral needs. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification/license from Ohio Department of Education required.
• Must hold ESEA qualified endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students and protect equipment, materials and facilities.
• Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups.
• Teach social skills to students.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, gymnasiums, or on field trips.
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Assist in bus loading and unloading.
• Coordinate instructional efforts with teachers.
