Education Jobs NJ is seeking a General Classroom Aide to support certified staff in a NJ classroom. The role focuses on reinforcing reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer skills, with supervision of students during non-instructional times to maintain a safe, orderly environment.

The aide will work with students individually and in small groups, assist in assessments, and help with materials preparation while supporting inclusion for students with special needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Parapro Assessment may be required per No Child Left Behind Act.
• Experience with special needs students desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in classroom activities to support instructional goals.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times and in lunch/bus/corridor duties.
• Assist with field trips and distribution of educational materials.
