Qualifications

• If qualified, the employee will be required to get and maintain current Missouri Substitute or Missouri Teacher Certification.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment.
• Knowledge of basic record-keeping techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in reinforcing material or skills with individual students or small groups.
• Create and implement strategies tailored to students' needs, interests, and abilities.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and maintaining files and records.
• Guide independent study, enrichment, and remedial work as directed by the teacher or principal.
• Serve as chief information source for substitutes and alert the regular teacher to issues about students.
• Support lesson plans implementation and classroom setup, including displays and materials.
• Distribute and collect papers and instructional materials; prepare for classroom activities.
• Assist with student assignments, homework, and projects; reinforce classroom rules and procedures.
