Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 48 semester credits from accredited institution and/or successful completion of the state approved paraprofessional test.
• Computer experience.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce learning by working with individual students or small groups.
• Assist with classroom activities and instructional materials.
• Distribute and collect workbooks and papers.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, field trips, and mealtimes.
• Maintain classroom displays and assist with library/media center activities.
• Support with lunch, cleanup, and hygiene routines.
• Serve as information resource for substitutes and maintain confidentiality.
