Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Toledo Preparatory Academy in Toledo, Ohio.

The Instructional Aide assists the Teacher with classroom activities, supports student safety and positive climate, and helps with daily school operations, field trips, and events as part of ACCEL Schools’ mission.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Paraprofessional exam completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic technology use.
• Ability to meet educational standards and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individuals or groups.
• Plans classroom activities as directed by the Teacher and School Leader.
• Assists with school activities, events, and parent relations.
• Performs clerical duties, including grading and copies.
• Assists with classroom technology and facility upkeep.
• Upholds the school’s philosophy and mission in daily tasks.
• Other duties such as field trips, duty, and supervision as assigned.
