Job summary

Partners In Development is seeking a Classroom Coach to support Kohala Complex Schools in Hawaii. The role focuses on in-class coaching, lesson delivery, assessment alignment, and mentoring teachers within a strong cultural context.

Qualifications

• At least five years of education experience with mentoring/coaching.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data-driven instruction.

Primary Purpose

Provide direct support to K-12 teachers in curriculum delivery .

Work Hours

• 20 – 40 hours per week; hours to be variable depending on the needs of the project and as mutually agreed upon with the supervisor;


• Position requires regular and predictable attendance;


• Some events on evenings or weekends may be required.

Working Conditions

• Office setting;


• Traveling in personal vehicle to and from Kohala Complex schools.

Mental, Physical, and Communication Demands

Mental:

Physical:

• Requires lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis .

• Exhibit courteous and professional demeanor towards program participants, staff and administration via verbal, written, physical, and electronic correspondence;


• Good oral and written communication skills required;


• Ability to be assertive and tactful in communication on a one-to-one basis and/or small groups.


• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required;


• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred;


• Knowledge and experience in research-based teaching pedagogy and lesson development required;


• At least five (5) years of experience in education with field experiences in teacher mentoring/coaching required;


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office;


• Must have access to a vehicle, have a valid driver's license, a safe and responsible driving record, and current no-fault auto insurance, with at least $100K in bodily collision per person and $25K in property damage liability.
