Job summary

University of Maryland is seeking a skilled carpenter to maintain and repair classroom surfaces, fixtures, equipment, and seating across campus. You will configure spaces and perform journey-level carpentry work to support learning environments.

The role requires four years of carpentry experience and a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must hold a Maryland Class C Driver's license or equivalent and be able to work 4PM–2:30AM four days a week.

Qualifications

• Four years progressively responsible experience in the carpentry trade.
• High School diploma or GED desired.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs classroom surfaces, fixtures, equipment and seating throughout the campus.
• Configures classroom spaces and seating according to required needs.
• Performs carpentry work at the journey level.
