Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is seeking an Instructional Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for classroom technology, audiovisual gear, and campus events. The role installs, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instructional tech, helping faculty, staff, students, and departments.

Responsibilities include AV setup and teardown for classes and events, live event support, equipment repair assistance, and vendor communications to address issues and ensure smooth

Qualifications

Associate degree in IT, CS, AV technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience supporting computers, classroom technology, audiovisual equipment, streaming tech, or events is preferred.
Ability to install and troubleshoot AV equipment and related instructional technology.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot classroom computers, laptops, projectors, displays, podiums, and other instructional tech.
Monitor classrooms and spaces to identify and resolve equipment problems promptly.
Maintain audiovisual equipment for reliable operation.
Set up, operate, monitor, and break down AV equipment for classes and events.
Provide audio support including sound systems, microphones, and recording equipment.
