Job summary

Jenks Public Schools East Intermediate in Tulsa, Oklahoma is hiring a Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction and supervision. The role reports to the Principal and requires assisting with small group instruction, materials prep, and record keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completed 2 years of college (48 credits) or an associate’s degree or higher, or NCRC through ACT/WorkKeys or passed Paraprofessional Assessment test (Passing 455).
• Satisfy district requirements re health and citizenship; basic computer/clerical skills.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Reinforcement of math, English, reading, social studies and science instruction.
• Assist with individual and/or small group instruction.
• Assist with remedial instruction.
• Grade papers and record grades.
• Prepare materials and assist classroom teachers as needed.
• Maintain student records.
• Supervise playground and cafeteria.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
