Position Overview

The Classroom Aide assists Primary or Secondary Instructors and supports students through tutoring in individual and group sessions. The role reports directly to the Associate Director and collaborates with faculty. The aide does not deliver primary instruction but supports tutoring and remediation, gaining valuable experience in the veterinary field.

Responsibilities

• Aiding with classroom technology and setting up labs as directed
• Assisting with hands-on activities and classroom prep
• Performing non-teaching duties such as restocking and cleaning

Additional Duties

• Tutoring students as scheduled
• Maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization

Conduct and Standards

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and academic integrity
• Report issues exceeding the aide's capacity to campus leadership

Requirements

• Graduation from Ross Veterinary Assistant or Technician program with externship and 1+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience
• State certification is a plus
• Ability to move around the campus, operate classroom equipment, and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of relevant curriculum and technology tools like Microsoft Office and CampusVue
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to Ross policies
