Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Instructional Aide to support teachers in EK-8 classrooms and promote a positive school climate. The role includes assisting with lessons, behavior support, and supervising activities to ensure student safety.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or two years of college coursework or Paraprofessional Exam, and proficiency with MS Office. A BCI/FBI background check is required, with strong communication and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage confidential information.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports the Teacher in all student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities and events (parent nights, faculty meetings, assemblies, field trips).
• Performs clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom and common areas.
• Understands and implements the school’s philosophy and mission.
