Paycom - ATS is seeking a dependable Substitute Teacher Assistant for Benning Hills Head Start in Columbus, GA. The role supports classroom staff by rotating between rooms to maintain staff-to-student ratios and provide breaks during the day.

Primary duties include assisting with meals, light cleaning, laundry for classrooms, and performing other duties as assigned. The position is full-time, requires a high school education, and offers benefits including insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children and staff.
• Walking, standing, lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Rotates between classrooms to provide breaks for staff and maintain ratios.
• Assists with setup and cleanup for meals and related duties.

Job Location: Benning Hills Head Start - Columbus, GA 31903, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $11.08 - $11.08 Hourly, Job Summary: Incumbent provides support to primary classroom staff by rotating within the Center to allow teaching team members to take breaks while still maintaining the appropriate staff tostudent ratio.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Rotate between classrooms within the Center, providing breaks for primary classroom staff
• Provide support to classroom teaching staff to maintain required ratio, in the absence of a regular Substitute Teacher Assistant
• Assist teaching staffwith set up and clean up related to meal services
• Wash,dry and fold clothes and linens for classrooms
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Mental Functions:

Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children and staff.

Essential Physical Functions:

Incumbent is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.Occasionally required to stand, climb, balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to twenty five (25) pounds.Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
