Job summary

Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) is a regional provider of Career Technical Education and Adult Education serving the Silicon Valley community. Through its Silicon Valley Career Technical Education Center (SVCTE) and Silicon Valley Adult Education (SVAE), MetroED serves approximately 2,600 students each year with state-of-the-art programs that prepare learners for the workforce and ongoing education. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Classified Substitutes role located in San Jose, CA. Classified Substitutes provide support in a variety of non-teaching positions across campus, such as classroom assistance, office support, supervision of students in common areas, and help with instructional materials and equipment. Day-to-day tasks may include monitoring student behavior and safety, assisting with attendance and records, supporting staff with clerical projects, helping set up and maintain learning spaces, and responding to immediate operational needs. Classified Substitutes may be assigned to different departments or programs as needed, and are expected to follow established district policies, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment for students and staff.
