Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks a cybersecurity professional to ensure compliance with governing documents and security policies, and to assist in regulatory assessments. You will implement and test secure OS, networks, and databases, stay current on vulnerabilities, and provide training to users.

Your role includes risk assessments, architecture documentation, and enabling secure implementations across the program life cycle, with emphasis on RMF and NIST guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in auditing Information Systems (practical or education).
• Familiarity with system authorization requirements and NIST 800-53 (DAAG/JSIG).
• Hands-on RMF implementation (practical or education).
• Experience with IA tools (practical or education).
• Experience with Windows and Linux OS and CLI.
• Experience with Microsoft Office collaboration apps (Office/Outlook/Teams).

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for secure implementation and compliance.
• Create and maintain information system security documents and report to regulatory agencies.
• Assist in certification and accreditation planning, testing, assessment and liaison activities.
• Apply IA/cybersecurity standards to risk-based architectural framework.

Standard Job Description

Ensure compliance to governing documents and security policies and assist in regulatory periodic assessments. Implements and tests state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database solutions. Stays current with system vulnerabilities and provides current security training to all system users. Conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for secure implementation and compliance in accordance with government regulations and information assurance/cybersecurity guidelines. Creates, maintains and submits information system security documents and reports to regulatory agencies. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validates system security requirements definition and analysis; establishes system security documentation; assists with the implementation of security procedures; verifies information system security requirements; performs information system certification and accreditation planning, testing, assessing and liaison activities. Familiar with information system security architectural documentation standards. Able to apply information assurance / cyber security standards, directives, guidance and policies to an architectural/risk based framework. Provide architectural / risk based analysis of information assurance / cyber security features and relate existing system to future needs and trends and requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Information Systems auditing experience (practical or education)
• Previous experience working with system authorization requirements and NIST800-53 (DAAG/JSIG)
• RMF implementation (practical or education)
• Hands on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools (practical or education)
• Demonstrated technical experience in Windows and Linux based operating systems and command line (practical or education)
• Demonstrated experience in using basic Microsoft Office collaboration applications (e.g. Office, Outlook, Teams)

Desired Skills

• Possess a DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level I/II certification (e.g., A+, Security+ce)
• Experience in system hardening, analysis, and vulnerability management
• Experience performing Continuous Monitoring
• Experience setting up or using TenableNessus / Security Center
• Experience setting up or using Splunk
• Experience implementing or validating Secure Technical Implementation Guidance (STIGs)
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
