Job summary

MANTECH in Chantilly, VA seeks a motivated Classification Management Officer 3 to join our team. The role focuses on providing comprehensive classification guidance per Executive Orders and DoD/IC standards, with travel up to 25% for support and assessments.

The candidate will perform detailed analyses, lead issue resolution, and present CM recommendations to senior leadership while ensuring accuracy in classification, control markings, and dissemination principles.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-orientedClassification Management Officer 3 CMO 3 to join our team in theChantilly, VA area.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• The Classification Management Officer 3 CMO 3 provides comprehensive classification management guidance in accordance with Executive Orders, National Security guidelines and ICD 710, Classification and Control Markings System
• Perform detailed analysis and quick issue resolution
• Provide classification, control marking, and dissemination principles knowledge
• Provide CM recommendations to senior customer leadership
• Generate, track, coordinate and respond to action items in a timely manner
• Conduct classification reviews and identify and assess sources for classification determinations
• Domestic Travel and OCONUS up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma and 12 or more years of relevant security experience or Associates degree and 8 or more years of relevant security experience or Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of relevant security experience or Masters/Doctorate and 3 or more years of relevant security experience
• Ability to handle complex security classification issues
• Demonstrated knowledge of SCI arena
• Thorough understanding of Executive Order 13526 and it’s implementing directive
• Thorough understanding of IC and DoD regulatory guidance
• Ability to utilize effective writing, communication and research skills
• Previous experience providing protection guidance to federal customer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to assist the government in the NRO Integrated Security Assessment Program (ISAP)
• Experience working with industrial security staffs
• Security Program Oversight Manual (NISPOM) security policy and procedures
• Working knowledge of acquisition lifecycle security requirements

Security Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
