Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Program Security Officer 2 to join our team at the Pentagon. You will provide security guidance across locations, including classification and information systems security, and conduct briefings to diverse audiences.

The role requires handling high-level security issues with discretion and delivering risk-managed recommendations to leadership; travel up to 25% domestically and overseas may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant security experience with HS diploma or higher.
• Ability to handle high-level, complex or sensitive security issues with discretion.
• Identify and assess sources for classification determinations, control, marking and dissemination.
• Substantive experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers.
• Familiarity with ICD 503, 705, DISS, and Scattered Castles.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives and NRO Directives and Instructions.
• Knowledge of program protection methodologies and risk management principles.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Provides advice and assistance regarding a myriad of security issues and concerns to government and program security officers in different geographical locations
• Provides classification management, program security, information systems security, personnel security, and physical security for the purpose of guidance to customers and industry partners
• Conduct briefings and indoctrinations to a variety of audiences
• Make compelling and articulate recommendations on current security issues for program security decisions to Directorate and Office Directors of Security, Program Managers, and Directorate leadership
• Assist in the development of security policies and implementation procedures
• Domestic Travel and OCONUS up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 8 or more years relevant security experience or Associate’s Degree and 6 or more years relevant security experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years relevant security experience or Masters and 2 years relevant security experience
• Ability to work high-level, complex or sensitive security issues thoroughly and with discretion
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess multiple sources for classification determinations control, marking, and dissemination principles and requirements which could include FOIA and Pre-publication reviews
• Substantive experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers, in support of secure and successful mission accomplishment
• Familiarity with ICD 503, 705, DISS, and Scattered Castles
• Have a working knowledge and be able to implement Intelligence Community Directives as well as NRO Directives and Instructions
• Knowledge of program protection methodologies and risk management principles as they relate to appropriately protecting and sharing information, missions, operations, and assets

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to assist the government in the NRO Integrated Security Assessment Program (ISAP)
• Experience working with industrial security staffs
• Security Program Oversight Manual (NISPOM) security policy and procedures
• Working knowledge of acquisition lifecycle security requirements

Security Requirements

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
