Job summary

Minnesota Direct Care and Treatment is seeking a Classification & Compensation Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will develop formal classification determinations, conduct internal equity analyses to promote pay parity, and design, administer, and participate in job classification projects and studies.

You will also provide strategic planning and guidance to agency managers on classification matters.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of Human Resources experience conducting job analysis, compensation analysis, and/or classification analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or related field; may substitute one year of experience.

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking a Classification & Compensation Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will provide professional human resources services and technical guidance to managers and HR partners across the agency. You will develop formal classification determinations, conduct internal equity analyses to promote pay parity, and design, administer, and/or participate in job classification projects, initiatives, and studies. You will also provide strategic planning and guidance to agency managers and supervisors on job classification matters, including workforce planning. Success in this role requires a relationship-driven approach and the ability to build strong partnerships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and other stakeholders. You will serve as a trusted resource, providing expertise and practical guidance to support the agency’s workforce needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of Human Resources experience conducting job analysis, compensation analysis, and/or classification analysis for positions in a variety of classification and levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience interpreting current employment laws, regulations, and policies related to classification, recruitment, selection, hiring, promotion, and/or retention of employees
  • Experience conducting public sector job analysis/classification
  • Experience contributing to HR projects, process improvements, or change management initiatives
