Job summary

Texomaclassics in Sherman, TX is seeking a highly organized Lead Technician who will support the shop manager, schedule a team of mechanical, paint and body, and upholstery technicians, and assist in project planning.

You will troubleshoot, perform mechanical work, and track vehicle conditions in project management systems to support planning and timely delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role in a small shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Build daily and weekly labor schedules ensuring staff alignment with project milestones
• Address shop floor obstacles including broken components, fabrication challenges, and rust issues
• Track vehicle conditions in project management systems for accurate future planning
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and reallocate resources to prevent idle time
• Filter technical staff inquiries, allowing the Shop Manager to focus on customer relations
• Maintain OSHA safety compliance across the production floor

In this role, you will directly support our shop manager and perform daily scheduling of our team of mechanical, paint and body, and upholstery technicians, troubleshooting and assisting in project planning as well as performing mechanical work in support of our project objectives.
