Red Barn Roadster Shop LLC in Exeter, NH is seeking an Auto Restoration Technician – Electrical Specialist to lead the wiring, harness design and testing for high-end classic car restorations.

You will work in a time-sensitive, collaborative shop, delivering showroom-quality results with attention to safety, organization, and flawless workmanship. Experience with EFI, HVAC, infotainment, and both TIG/MIG welding is preferred, with a Mon-Thu 4x10 schedule and overtime potential.

Job description:

We are seeking an Auto Restoration Technician- Electrical Specialist specializing in the full, long-term restoration of modified classic cars and trucks. This role requires a skilled craftsman with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship. The work environment is a time-sensitive, transparent and collaborative environment. Our recently renovated facility is clean, modern, safe, and air-conditioned, featuring many new pieces of equipment suitable for high-end work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mock-up assembly phase of projects, including wiring, plumbing, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, cooling systems, HVAC, welding, and exhaust fabrication.
• Design, install, and test complete vehicle wiring harnesses with multiple auxiliary system integrations (EFI, HVAC, infotainment, etc.).
• Perform abrasive blasting and other prep work as projects require.
• Work alongside a team of restoration technicians of various disciplines, communicating clearly throughout each project.
• Deliver best-in-show quality workmanship on every build.
• Track labor time accurately and meet billable-time ratio targets, with visible accountability.
• Present in-process work to clients, in person or digitally.
• Keep a meticulously organized, clean workspace ready for regular facility tours.
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a professional automotive trade.
• A demonstrated history of complex vehicle wiring projects.
• A demonstrated history of high-end, premium-grade restoration projects.
• Examples of completed work and projects to share.
• TIG and MIG process welding in steel, stainless steel and aluminum is a plus.
• Strong character, with the ability to take ownership and be accountable.
• Openness to feedback and coaching.
• Willingness to give professional feedback to the business and to coworkers.
• A continuous-improvement mindset.
• Willingness to perform other duties as needed.
• Availability for a Monday–Thursday 4x10 schedule, with flexibility for overtime given adequate notice.
