Position Overview:
Blue Recycled Materials is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Class B Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely driving and operating large trucks to transport, load, and unload various scrap materials. This role requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), strong driving skills, and proficiency in operating heavy equipment efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Driving and Transport:
- Safely drive and maneuver large Class B trucks to transport materials to and from job sites.
- Obey all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck interior.
Loading and Unloading:
- Operate truck to load and unload materials at designated pickup sites or disposal locations.
- Ensure that the load is distributed evenly and secured properly to prevent accidents during transport.
Equipment Operation:
- Familiarity with the operation of dump truck controls, hydraulics, and other specialized equipment.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, hours worked, and materials transported.
- Complete logbooks and required paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members regarding job schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transport.
Customer Service:
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and customers at job sites.
Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies or accidents, such as spills or breakdowns, by following established procedures and protocols.

Education and Other Requirements:
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with relevant endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations.
- Previous experience as a Class B Truck Driver, preferably 3+ years.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for transporting hazardous materials (if applicable).
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
