Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must have or be able to obtain the CDL/driver’s license.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to become certified.

• Ability to safely inspect, secure, load, unload, and transport materials.
• Ability to follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, semi-tractors, and forklifts to transport and exchange materials.
• Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain truck and trailer cleanliness and upkeep.
• Maintain required driver and truck logs in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, and other equipment; report issues as needed.
• Communicate with traffic coordinators regarding pickup and delivery instructions.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Verify packing slips and bills of lading against materials being picked up or delivered.
• Ensure all materials are properly identified and all freight is safely secured before transport.
• Document damage, discrepancies, or improperly packaged loads and refuse unsafe shipments.
• Transport materials to designated destinations safely and on time.
• Obtain and distribute required pickup and delivery documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
