Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Class B Driver to operate a 26 ft box truck across the Taylor, MI area, collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare locations and delivering with excellent customer service.

This full-time role offers 40–45 hours per week, a $25 per hour wage, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus with $1k after 30 days and $2k after 90 days. Benefits include day-one medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• CDL B License required.
• Delivery experience with manual handling is a plus.
• Must be reliable with a strong customer focus.
• Experience with pre-trip/post-trip vehicle evaluations preferred.
• Ability to operate safely a 26 ft box truck and comply with DOT regulations.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused Class B Driver operate a truck across the Taylor, MI area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits.

This position is offering a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires. $1k paid after 30 days of employment and $2k paid after 90 days of employment!

What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting - Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push and pull carts that can be a couple hundred lbs

What are we looking for?

• CDL B License Required
• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
