Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Stanton, CA is seeking a Class B Driver for a full-time role. You will drive a commercial vehicle to deliver and receive cargo safely, maintain proper loading, and complete required DOT logs and paperwork while staying compliant with traffic laws.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, proven truck-driving experience, and no recent moving violations. After 30 days, employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Responsible for safely securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
• Transport load to assigned destination.
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with customers.
• Perform inspections of the vehicle prior to and following each trip and ensure assigned tractor and tailer are well-maintained and in safe operating condition. Advising supervisor of any necessary maintenance, repair, and safety concerns as necessary.
• Maintaining all DOT logs and following all DOT regulations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive safely according to the weather/road conditions.
• Communication professionally with all customers, other employees, and supervisors.
• Always make safety a priority.

Class B Driver

Full Time Operatives Stanton, CA, US

Salary Range: $19.64 To $23.00 Annually

Role and Responsibilities

Truck drivers are responsible for driving a commercial vehicle for extended hours to deliver and received cargo safely and efficiently while abiding by traffic laws and ensuring safe unloading/loading and delivery at their destination. In-depth training may be required to prepare a Truck Driver for their daily duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.

• Transport load to assigned destination.
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
• Proven work experience as a commercial truck driver.
• No recent moving or driving violations.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to drive long hours.
• Good organization skills while maintaining proper delivery paperwork and driver logs.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks is an advantage.
• Must be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

Additional Notes

• All drivers are subject to DOT background checks and drug testing.
• Satisfactory pre-employment drug testing is required.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Applicant must have a negative COVID-19 test no more than 5 days prior to beginning work on site.
