Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking an immediate Class A or B CDL Delivery Driver at our Grandview, MO location. You will provide cylinder and bulk deliveries, perform inventory control, and maintain equipment and paperwork with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualified candidates have Hazmat-endorsed CDL, DOT pre-employment screen, a high school diploma, and a clean driving record. Excellent customer service and computer skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B license with Hazmat endorsements is required.
• Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical, and company road test.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean driving record for 3+ years.
• Ability to lift 75–100 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be comfortable using computers.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide cylinder and/or bulk deliveries to customers and inner branches using a combination tractor-trailer truck.
• Perform inventory control functions.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.
• Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled.
• Ensure compliance with CGMP, Hazmat, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies.
• Ensure appropriate preparation, completion, and accuracy of paperwork.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Maintain electronic trip-logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Achieve delivery objectives set forth by the manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
