Job summary

Clean Harbors in Bismarck, ND seeks a Class B CDL Sales Route Driver to provide onsite service for parts washers, pick up hazardous waste, and sell products along a defined route. Training includes out-of-state Academy, paid and expenses covered.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with early start and potential overnight travel. Role includes up-sell opportunities, safety compliance, and daily route service across customer sites.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven customer service abilities.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15– and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair fleets and manufacturing customers.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups promptly.
• Operate vehicles safely per DOT and company guidelines.
• Assist with compliance and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Safety-Kleen in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Class B CDL Sales Route Driver (Sales and Service Route Driver). This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route.

• Monday through Friday schedule
• Average start time between 6-7 am, overtime after 40 hrs.
• Possible overnight travel

Note: This position requires new hires to attend our out-of-state Academy training, which may require being away from home for a period of time. Training duration may vary based on scheduling and program requirements. Training is paid, and related expenses are covered by the company.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks

• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
