Position OverviewThis position reports to the Manager – Warehouse. Driver – Class “B” is responsible for making daily deliveries of Company product to customers using Company-provided vehicle. This position is also responsible for operating and maintaining a Company “pump truck”, to deliver bulk oil and/or other merchandise to customers, conduct pre and post-trip inspections, maintain a daily travel log, and handle shipping papers and invoices.Primary Job FunctionsThe primary job functions include, but are not limited to:Transporting bulk oil and miscellaneous stock via the “pump truck”Performing pre trip and post trip inspections which include checking gasoline, oil, water, and tires, and fills as required.Record any malfunctions of equipment on the Inspection Sheet which is reviewed by the supervisor and Safety ManagerLoading and unloading trucks both manually and using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucksMaintain daily log sheets which includes entering miles and times at each stopMaintain delivery , truck and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgements, recording tracking information, completing driver log and truck performance formsOperates the multi-tank system on the trucksResponsible for following safety measures while filling customer tanksPossess the ability to handle money from customers and be able to make change if necessaryPresent a good image of the company through proper dress and attitude.
