Job summary

Arnold Oil Company Warehouse in San Antonio, TX is seeking a full-time Driver – Class B with Tanker endorsement. Responsibilities

• Transport bulk oil and miscellaneous stock using the pump truck.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections including fluid checks.
• Record equipment malfunctions and report to supervisor.
• Load and unload trucks manually or with forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Maintain daily log sheets with miles and times at each stop.
• Maintain delivery, truck and driving records with receipts and tracking information.
• Operate the multi-tank system on the trucks.
• Follow safety rules when filling customer tanks.
• Possess basic cash handling ability and make change if needed.
• Present a professional image and maintain clean vehicle and work area.
• Comply with OSHA and company safety procedures and regulations.

This position reports to the Manager – Warehouse. Driver – Class “B” is responsible for making daily deliveries of Company product to customers using Company-provided vehicle. This position is also responsible for operating and maintaining a Company “pump truck”, to deliver bulk oil and/or other merchandise to customers, conduct pre and post-trip inspections, maintain a daily travel log, and handle shipping papers and invoices.

Primary Job Functions

• Transporting bulk oil and miscellaneous stock via the “pump truck”
• Performing pre trip and post trip inspections which include checking gasoline, oil, water, and tires, and fills as required.
• Record any malfunctions of equipment on the Inspection Sheet which is reviewed by the supervisor and Safety Manager
• Loading and unloading trucks both manually and using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
• Maintain daily log sheets which includes entering miles and times at each stop
• Maintain delivery, truck and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgements, recording tracking information, completing driver log and truck performance forms
• Operates the multi-tank system on the trucks
• Responsible for following safety measures while filling customer tanks
• Possess the ability to handle money from customers and be able to make change if necessary
• Present a good image of the company through proper dress and attitude. Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organizational policy, procedure, and standards, as well as state and local and DOT driving rules and regulations
• Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle, both on the exterior and the interior
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations, and shipping supply areas neat in the warehouse
• Complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules, and regulations
