Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver in Rome, NY to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites with a 30' straight truck. The role requires safety-first driving, on-time delivery and excellent customer service.

Base pay is $24 per hour with full-time benefits; weekend work may be required. Must have a Class B CDL, 2+ years of experience and a clean driving record. Site address: 6168 NY-233, Rome, NY 13440.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• At least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience (DD214 acceptable).
• Clean driving record and safe driving history.
• Ability to tarp and strap loads when required.
• Operates trailer mounted forklift as needed.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries preferred.
• Strong time management and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Commitment to safe work practices throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites using a 30' straight truck.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Report repairs and ensure DOT compliance at all times.
• Load/unload and verify loads; ensure contents are correct before leaving.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods; possible weekend work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate $24.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a 30' straight truck. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position and some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional Weekend work
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp and strap loads
• Operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a teamAbility to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
