Job summary

Builders FirstSource is hiring a dedicated Delivery Driver in the Town of Huntington, NY. You will transport materials to customer sites, load and unload as needed, and maintain accurate delivery logs. Adhere to DVIR/HOS rules and safety procedures to protect yourself and customers.

You’ll operate trucks weighing over 26,000 pounds, may tow lighter trailers, and use hand-held devices to confirm orders and communicate with customers. Strong English skills and a valid CDL are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders to specified delivery sites and assist with unloading.
• Secure product and protect customer property; conduct safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain logs of deliveries, weights, mileage and locations.
• Serve as customer liaison and resolve issues as they arise.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and safety checks on vehicles.
