Job summary

Universal Logistics in Alabama is hiring a CLASS A Yard Switcher to support yard operations on first shift, with potential coverage for second/third shift as needed. Pay rate is $23 per hour, with benefits after 90 days including BCBS medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401K.

Valid AL Class A CDL and limited driving experience requirements apply. Qualified candidates should have 3 months yard switcher or 6 months tractor/trailer experience, no DUI/OWI in last 5 years, and clean driving

• 3 months yard switcher or 6 months tractor/trailer experience
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Current DOT Medical Card

Universal Logistics is seeking a CLASS A Yard Switcher! 1st shift hours: 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. This position is REQUIRED to cover 2nd Shift 2pm to 10:30pm or 3rdshift 10pm to 6:30amas needed.

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Requirements:

• Valid AL Class A CDL license is required (will have to be able to go offsite to get fuel)
• Minimum 3 months yard switcher experience or 6 month of tractor/trailer experience

• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Current DOT Medical Card Criminal Background Check
