Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Vermont seeks a Class A Yard Driver to move trucks and trailers in yard, docking and shipping/receiving areas, ensuring safety and DOT compliance. This role supports efficient plant and warehouse operations and requires attention to detail.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, operate forklifts or pallet jacks, maintain logs, and assist with route deliveries as needed. A valid CDL A license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class A license in state of residence; tanker endorsement if required.
• DOT safety regulations knowledge and compliance.
• Ability to operate yard equipment and read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Move trucks and trailers in yard, docking areas to support shipping/receiving.
• Hook/unhook and reposition units around dock and service areas.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement logs.
• Load/unload using forklift or pallet jack as needed.
• Help with route deliveries and other duties as assigned.
