Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. seeks a qualified Class A Driver to join our Transportation team in Lancaster, CA. The Walking Floor Driver safely transports materials using floor trailers, upholds safety and regulatory compliance, and ensures timely deliveries with CDL required.

The role demands a strong commitment to safety, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and effective communication with dispatch and clients. Schedule: 0300-1500 M-F, 0600-1500 Sat; full-time, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with endorsements is required.
• Minimum of 2 years verifiable Class A driving experience is required.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbooks is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Walking Floor Trailers to transport materials to designated locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies for safe transportation.
• Inspect and maintain Walking Floor Trailers, reporting issues promptly.
• Load and unload materials securely and efficiently following procedures.
• Complete required paperwork like logbooks and delivery receipts on time.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members and clients.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety compliance.
• Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as needed.
• Comply with environmental regulations and company disposal guidelines.
