Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking an over-the-road (OTR) Class A Dry Van Driver to join our safety-first team on an Ohio-based route that travels to RI, CT, and NJ, averaging 2,600+ miles per week.

You will earn $80–$110K annually, plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus, with bi-weekly home time and a pay structure that combines hourly on-duty time and mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to use required technology such as mobile apps and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains health and safety as the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Operates tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adheres to weight limits and ensures proper utilization of the units.
• Loads/unloads hazardous waste and secures loads.
• Placing proper DOT placards on vehicles as required.
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
