Job summary

Landwehr Construction, Inc. seeks a reliable Class A Truck Driver to support highway and heavy construction projects. You will transport equipment, materials and aggregates to and from job sites, ensuring loads are secured and compliant with DOT standards.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with a clean record, at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong communication and time management skills are essential for coordinating with field

• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement standards.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment and operating various trailer types is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles including dump trucks, belly dumps, lowboys, and flatbeds.
• Transport heavy equipment, construction materials, and aggregates to job sites as needed.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, trip sheets, and delivery records.
• Assist with loading and unloading when necessary.
• Coordinate with field supervisors and dispatch to support project timelines.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times, especially in and around active job sites.

This position plays a key role in the transportation of construction equipment, materials, and aggregate products to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles including dump trucks, belly dumps, lowboys, and flatbeds.
• Transport heavy equipment, construction materials, and aggregates to job sites as needed.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
