Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with endorsements for the position.
• 9 months of flatbed experience within the past 3 years OR 2+ years within 5 years OR 5+ years within 10 years.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, background, and DMV checks including 3 years of history.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and regulations.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; maintain accurate logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the customer.

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lubbock, TX — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay Range

• $1500 - $1800 or more per week
• Hourly Pay: $23.62 per hour
• Per Diem Pay: $27.24 per night
• Travel Reimbursement: $0.72.5 cpm (excluding first 50 miles each way)
• Safety Bonus: $300 quarterly ($1200/year)
• Up to $2400 in additional bonuses
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday occasional Saturday; 5:30 - 6:00 AM start time

Routes

• Deliver SOLO to TX, occasionally to OKC, LA, AR
• Route: Home Weekends
• Tractor Type: Day Cab Must be able to drive a manual
• Trailer Type: Flatbed
• 12 Months of Flatbed Experience is Required
• Equipment: Truck Mounted Forklift experience highly preferred
• Freight: Load Securement - Strapping

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
