Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking a Warehouse/ Delivery Driver to support warehousing operations by transporting orders along designated routes and ensuring safe vehicle operation. The role reports to the Manager - Transportation and requires a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, following dispatch instructions, maintaining communication with the dispatcher, and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-months OTR or 1-year driving local experience.
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections and report deficiencies.
• Operate service truck to and from designated work sites according to routing.
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch for instructions.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Backhaul pickups as assigned.

About the Role:

Warehouse/ Delivery Driver provide support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and loading and unloading orders. This role reports to the Manager - Transportation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection, report deficiencies to the shop immediately, report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Assistant Transportation Manager.
• Operate service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive instructions.
• Follow all established safety rules & regulations.
• Backhaul pickups as assigned.

Shift Hours:

• Monday , Tuesday , Friday , Saturday 5:00am - 3 : 30pm

About The Pay:

• Pay Range: $26.66 Hourly
• 401(k) Profit Sharing
• Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You:

• Minimum 6-months OTR or 1-year driving local driving experience
• Valid Class A-CDL Driver’s License
• Understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
• Knowledge of basic math, as well as multi-step written and oral instructions
• Ability to write routine documents and speak clearly
• Positive attitude and flexibility when working with others
• Must pass drug and background check
• Excellent Customer Service Skills - Face of the Company
