Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc., Middletown Township, PA, is hiring a Warehouse/Delivery Driver to support warehousing operations and transport orders along designated routes. This role reports to the Manager - Transportation and is integral to moving products from vendors to stores.

Responsibilities include daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections, maintaining contact with dispatch, following safety rules, and backhaul pickups as assigned. Shift hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 5:00am–1:30pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-months OTR or 1-year driving local driving experience.
• Valid Class A-CDL Driver’s License.
• Understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow multi-step instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Ability to pass drug and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections and report issues to the shop and dispatcher.
• Operate service truck to and from pre-designated work sites per routing information.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive instructions.
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations.
• Backhaul pickups as assigned.

About the Role:

Warehouse/ Delivery Driver provide support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and loading and unloading orders. This role reports to the Manager - Transportation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection, report deficiencies to the shop immediately, report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Assistant Transportation Manager.
• Operate service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive instructions.
• Follow all established safety rules & regulations.
• Backhaul pickups as assigned.

Shift Hours:

• Tuesday to Saturday 5:00am - 1:30pm

About The Pay:

• Pay Range: $26.66 Hourly
• 401(k) Profit Sharing
• Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You:
