Class A Truck Driver (Finance)

Safely transport goods to stores and customers of the distribution trucking company. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to travel independently
• Capability to follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
• Problem-solving skills involving standardized situations
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence
• Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
• Valid Commercial Class A CDL driver's license
• Compliance with all Federal Department of Transportation physical requirements for a Class A CDL driver
• Familiarity with trucking terminology and processes
• Ability to back 53' trailers safely into docks or vendor locations
• Experience operating over-the-road tractors, refrigeration units, dollies, and pallet jacks
• At least 1 year of active driving experience, including doubles experience or equivalent education and experience

Desired previous experience:

• One year of tractor/trailer driving experience

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving trucks to deliver goods to stores and customers
• Adhering to safety standards at all levels
• Inspecting trucks for defects before, during, and after trips
• Checking refrigeration trailers for malfunctions
• Weighing loads and unloading merchandise at stores
• Picking up goods at vendor locations and verifying products and quantities
• Maintaining flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
• Performing basic calculations and data interpretation related to the job

Salary Range: $25.13/hour
