General Summary

Company Drivers are responsible for timely delivery of freight between Distribution Centers, stores, and vendors, including hauling, unloading, and returning freight and rolltainers, while operating vehicles safely and complying with all regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport freight safely and efficiently, adhering to policies and regulations (40%).
• Unload and reload freight and rolltainers at each stop safely (30%). This includes:
• Rolling rolltainers onto lift gates and into store backrooms.
• Unloading boxes and totes into the store.
• Reloading return items onto trailers and returning to the Distribution Center.
• Securing freight before sealing the trailer.
• Provide professional customer service (10%).
• Complete paperwork and maintain records as required (10%).
• Ensure vehicle operation complies with all laws (10%).

Knowledge and Skills

• Available for overnight travel and any day of the week.
• Physical ability to squat, reach, push, pull, and lift freight up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate vehicle components and work in severe weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum six months tractor/trailer driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Meet all DOT medical and safety standards, including drug tests.
