Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) seeks a Transmission Lineman – A Class to join our teams in Western Kentucky and Dallas/Fort Worth. This non-exempt position emphasizes safety, outdoor work, and skilled line construction, maintenance, and repair.

Candidates must pass background checks and maintain a valid CDL and driver license. The role requires physical endurance, ability to climb poles, and strong communication skills to work with customers and crew members.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Must have strong math skills and understanding of electrical theory.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods and equipment used in electrical line work.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Read and record data from meter dials and operate service trucks.
• Digs holes, sets poles, strings wire, and installs transformers and distribution equipment.
• Respond to work orders, perform on-call duties, and ensure safety standards.
